Stainless Steel Air Shower System

,Durable Air Shower System
Our interlocking stainless steel air shower and step-over bench gowning systems form the critical barrier between uncontrolled environments and your Grade C/D or Grade B cleanroom. The high-velocity air shower nozzle grid removes 95% of surface particles from operators and materials in 10 seconds, while the bench design enforces a clear separation between “dirty" and “clean" sides. Constructed from 304 stainless steel with fully welded, crevice-free seams, this system is the physical embodiment of your SOPs, forcing correct personnel flow every time.
Over 80% of viable contamination in cleanrooms originates from personnel. If your staff can bypass gowning steps or carry particles on their suits, the cleanroom fails regardless of its expensive HVAC. Traditional plastic strip curtains and separate furniture pieces create uncontrolled zones where people cross-contaminate. A sterile injectable facility was cited because the step-over bench was not fixed, and operators stepped on the “clean" side. You need a machine-enforced, psychologically effective barrier that physically blocks skipping and guarantees every person undergoes the HEPA air wash.
We deliver a turnkey gowning suite, starting with an entry air shower: an operator steps in, the magnetic door interlocks lock both sides, and dual-side nozzles blast HEPA-filtered air at 25–30 m/s for a programmable duration (default 10 s). The blow-off air exhausts through a prefilter, capturing lint and skin flakes. Following the air shower, a fixed, sloped-top bench physically separates the two zones; operators sit, remove external shoes, swing legs over the clean side, and don cleanroom boots and suits. The “air shower + bench + sink" sequence becomes a behavioral lock, essentially forcing protocol adherence. Each unit is delivered with factory FAT and full traceability.

- Grade C/D primary personnel entrance
- Aseptic core lobby (Grade B approach)
- Material transfer air shower (pallet/barrel type)
- Bio-safety lab (BSL-2/3) negative pressure exit
- Oral solid dosage (OSD) suites requiring active air separation
- Animal facility entry buffer
When an operator enters, the “entry" door closes against a magnetic gasket, and a safety sensor confirms the “exit" door is shut. The fan ramps up to full speed, pushing air through the HEPA into top and side nozzles, creating a turbulent, high-velocity field that strips loose particles. Those particles are immediately pulled to the return grille at floor level. After the set time, the fan ramps down, and the exit door releases. Only when the exit door re-locks does the entrance door unlock for the next user — preventing bidirectional contamination.
Select the air shower width based on the number of users per shift: single for <15 persons/hour, double (parallel) for higher traffic. Consider a “pass-through" version for cages and material carts. Choose the bench height (standard 450mm) and ensure it integrates with your step heights after flooring. If your cleanroom uses H2O2 bio-decontamination, specify VPHP-resistant gaskets and 316L stainless for nozzle tips. All models can include an integrated hand sanitizer station. We recommend sending your personnel flow diagram so we can simulate crowding and ensure no bottlenecks.
Q1: Can the air shower operate continuously?
A: Yes, we offer a continuous-run mode where the fan idles at low speed and ramps up on door closure, reducing start-up surge and increasing motor life.
Q2: What is the cleaning validation approach for the air shower?
A: All internal surfaces are accessible from the service panel, with a sloping floor to a sump. Wipe-down with sporicidal agents is effective; we provide a surface roughness certificate.
Q3: Is a bench enough to separate GMP spaces, or do I need a full wall?
A: A bench is the minimum requirement for Grade C/D. For Grade B entrances, we complement with a full physical dividing wall and an air shower; the bench remains essential for behavioral gating.
Q4: How is filter replacement handled?
A: Filters are gel-sealed and extractable from the service side. We supply a PAO test port for biannual integrity verification and offer a filter replacement subscription.
